24 thewrathstorm • 1 yr. ago Every concussion I’ve had has been very different depending on what side of my head hit the ground.. go to the doctor I got one at work falling out of a truck, and I felt fine for a few hours, and then I was unable to focus for almost 2 weeks after.

Balance test: standing with feet together, eyes closed; standing with one foot in front of the other, eyes closed; and standing on one leg with eyes closed. Cognitive evaluation: checking to see if you know where you are and understand why you’re there; ability to name things; verbal fluency; recall and working memory.

Things to check are balance/coordination (can they walk a straight line, stand on one foot). If you suspect they hit their head hard let them rest.
